For three generations, Rutherford Ranch Winery has built a reputa- tion for producing elegant and expressive wines.

Family owned and operated for 40 years, the winery is located on Napa Valley’s iconic Silverado Trail. Nestled in the heart of the valley, lies their hidden gem, overflowing with character and charm. The estate features beautiful oak trees, a 100-year-old olive grove, and provides visitors with a relax- ing and memorable experience.

Dating back to 1978, Ernie Van Asperen, Virginia Van Asperen and Charlie Abela purchased the Rutherford property. Formerly the site for the original Round Pond Winery, the desirable parcel invites guests to unwind in a country setting amongst one of the most coveted appellations in the Napa Valley.

Upon retirement of Ernie Van Asperen in 2000, long-time shareholders, Marko and Theo Zaninovich along with the Van Asperen family, acquired the winery.

A collaboration composed of passion, talent, family and friendship unveil the story behind their success. In partner- ship with Winemaker, Jay Turnipseed, Rutherford Ranch produces exquisite wines that represent the true  character of the region. Offering, a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Merlot along with Two Range Red Wine, a proprietary blend of red varietals from the Napa Valley, the cabernet dominate wine portfolio show- cases the strength and finesse of the region.

“All fine wines begin with outstanding fruit but great wines also require an artistic touch. My passion and my challenge, is to use the palette of flavors from the vineyard to craft delicious wines that uniquely express their origins as well as my own personal style,” said Winemaker,  Jay Turnipseed.
