The Mozart Requiem concert on April 21st is at 3 pm in the glorious acoustics of the Napa Methodist Church sanctuary located at 625 Randolph Street at the corner of Fifth Street in downtown Napa. Tickets are $35 per person and are now available online at www.singnapavalley.org, or by texting requiem to 41444, or by calling 707-255-4662, or by emailing info@singnapavalley.org, mailing a check to Sing Napa Valley, PO Box 2774, Napa, CA 94558. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door the day of the concert.
Featuring soprano solos by Christina Howell, director of vocal studies at Napa Valley College; alto solos by countertenor Kory Reid, currently director of Fog City Singers in San Francisco and formerly with Chanticleer; tenor solos by Chester Pidduck of San Francisco Opera Chorus; and bass solos by Harlan Hays, also of San Francisco Opera Chorus. For this performance, Sing Napa Valley will welcome members of Pacific Union College’s chamber choir, Vox Pro Musica, and their director, Ronnie Zanella, to perform the Mozart’s timeless Requiem with them. Sing Napa Valley’s Artistic Director Jan Lanterman will conduct the performance, and Travis Rogers, organist and choir master at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Napa will preside at the 13-rank Wicks pipe organ at Napa Methodist Church.
