A SPECIAL OCCASION TO JUDGE NAPA’S FINEST WINES AGAINST SOME OF THE WORLD’S FINEST WINES
This exceptional event is a tribute to three key individuals: Steven Spurrier, organizer of the sensational 1976 Judgment of Paris, George Taber, the TIME magazine journalist who reported on the shock results and Patricia Gastaud-Gallagher whose idea for the momentous tasting elevated the profile of California wines overnight. “On the 24th of May in 1976, nine judges chose California wines above the top wines of France and the rest is history. The Judgment of Napa will remind people of the Judgment of Paris and also bring it up to date. I should know… I was there,” said Steven Spurrier.
Conceived and presented by Napa-based luxury concierge Angela Duerr and her Cultured Vine team.
On this intimate occasion, several guests will have the privilege of tasting 20 very rare wines (10 whites and 10 reds) in an exclusive blind tasting at the Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, California.
