39th Annual “Home Winemakers Classic” Raises Money for Wildfire Safety
April 20, 2022, Napa, CA – Napa Valley’s premier home winemakers’ tasting event, the Home Winemakers Classic (HWC) will return to its traditional in-person format on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Now in its 39th year, the popular event will be hosted by the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa.
A fundraiser for the Mt. Veeder Fire Safe Council (MVFSC), HWC offers a unique opportunity for guests to sample great wines that simply can’t be purchased anywhere, and to engage directly with enthusiastic home winemakers, whether aspiring novices or seasoned vintners.
While enjoying wines from unbonded producers, guests will also have the opportunity to bid on outstanding wines from some of Napa Valley’s top wineries, including Staglin, Shafer and Harlan among others, in an expansive silent auction that also features dining, entertainment, and luxury items.
Funds raised at the HWC directly support the Mt. Veeder Fire Safe Council. “Proceeds from this event facilitate community outreach and education, our Neighbors in Need Program, and fire-prevention efforts, such as local fuel reduction projects,” said event chair Cindy Kerson.
