Holiday Pie Making 101 At Dr. Wilkinson’s Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs in Calistoga

Dr. Wilkinson’s Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs invites local Calistogians and visitors alike to embrace their culinary and health curiosities to attend the new Better You! Series led by Creative Director Trevor Logan of House of Better, the resort’s onsite restaurant inspired by Logan’s time in New Mexico and his background in health and nutrition.

Known as the creator of beloved San Francisco’s Green Chile Kitchen and Sonoma-based Chile Pies Baking Co. in Guerneville, Trevor Logan – in collaboration with other local chefs and wellness experts – will lead a series of unique educational classes focused on cooking, nutrition, wellness and more every second Thursday of the month starting at 6pm.

On November 10, Chef Wesley Monahan, Natural Chef, Pastry Chef and Creative Director of Chile Pies Baking Co. in San Francisco, will teach patrons to learn to bake their own pies at home for the holiday season. Chef Monahan will show aspiring bakers how to prepare dough, roll out crusts and make filling for delicious home baked creations. Chef Monahan will also share her original recipe for Green Chile Apple Pie, House of Better’s house specialty cheddar crust, and walnut streusel topping.
