Uncorked (2020)

Saturday, February 22, 2025 | 5 p.m.

Elijah must balance his dream of becoming a master sommelier with his father’s expectations that he carry on the family’s Memphis BBQ joint.

Dinner and Conversation:

Following the film, there will be an engaging Q&A session moderated by the founder of Napa Valley Noir, Kelly E. Carter with actors Mamoudou Athie and Courtney B. Vance, filmmaker and director of Uncorked, Prentice Penny, and CIA alum and master sommelier, Carlton McCoy ’06 to explore the movie’s themes and ideas in greater depth. The evening will culminate in a one-of-a-kind BBQ Chef’s dinner with Chef Darryl Bell of Stateline Road Smoke House, complemented by curated wines from the Association of African American Vintners (AAAV). Stay in touch as more information is to come!

Wine and non-alcoholic beverages are included with dinner.
