Like others in the industry, he owns and operates the requisite luxury vehicles (from Towncars to limousines and soon he’ll add a fourteen seat Sprinter van to the fleet.) Originally from the west coast of Ireland, Mac Cana has lived in the Napa Valley since 2014, and in that time, has created an in- valuable network of contacts that benefit his clients. In addition, he holds an advanced certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), and has spent two decades within the international wine industry, daily honing his wine knowledge. He delivers not only local insights, but a wider comprehension of the wine-making process, the vines, and their history.
Acting essentially as a matchmaker be- tween his clients and wineries, Mac Cana’s tours are curated to each guest, with whom he might collaborate months in advance of a booking in order to obtain the information to create meaningful experiences. He is best known for creating personally curated itineraries that resonate, and in addition to wine tasting, this might include biking, ballooning, kayaking, or running (Mac Can is an avid trail runner) – whatever the client desires.
