Blue Note Entertainment Group and Another Planet Entertainment have partnered to launch a new outdoor festival-style venue in downtown Napa, CA: the Oxbow RiverStage. The promoters’ local presence, connection with, and commitment to the local community has led to an agreement with the City of Napa to produce a series of outdoor concerts and events at the Oxbow Commons, located at 1268 McKinstry St. in the Oxbow District of historic downtown Napa.
The 2019 Oxbow RiverStage season will kick off on August 25th with classic rock icon Steve Miller Band and country legend Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives.
Steven Bensusan, President of Blue Note Entertainment Group, says, “I’m looking forward to partnering with Another Planet at the Oxbow. I greatly admire what they have accomplished as an independent promoter in Northern California for the past 15+ years. Together we have the ability to obtain the very best talent to perform in Napa on the Oxbow RiverStage.”
The inaugural 2019 season will feature both ticketed and free concerts, spanning many genres of music and entertaining up to four thousand attendees at each show. The venue will be seated or standing, or a combination of both based on the performance and genre.
“We have produced a number of shows in the North Bay counties over the years, but have never found a permanent home up here,” said Gregg Perloff, CEO and Founder of Another Planet Entertainment. “Oxbow RiverStage will be Another Planet Entertainment’s first exclusive venue in the region and we couldn’t be more excited to bring world class music to Downtown Napa.”
The promoters are already eyeing the 2020 season and beyond, with a focus on 5 free shows and 15 ticketed shows spread out between June and October. More concerts will be announced on July 9th.
Ken Tesler, owner of Blue Note Napa says, “Our goal at Oxbow RiverStage is to create an atmosphere combining really cool elements you might find at both standard outdoor concert venues and music festivals. We will focus on bringing quality events and the best experience to attendees and to the local community in downtown Napa.”
Guests can sit back and enjoy the concert or walk around taking in the region’s craft beers and spirits, local Napa Valley wines, tasty food, art by world renown artist Gordon Huether, and sponsorship activations. In addition, through a partnership with Napa based business Feast It Forward, the Oxbow RiverStage will offer a VIP lounge that rivals the VIP experience at many high-end festivals, featuring sweeping views of the stage as well as a climate-controlled retreat in a modern and fun environment.
Tickets for Steve Miller Band and Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives go on sale to the public on Friday, June 21st at 10am PT at www.OxbowRiverStage.com, www.Ticketmaster.com and at the Blue Note Napa box office located at 1030 Main Street in downtown Napa.
Tickets are $59.50, $99.50, $129.50 and $250.00 (VIP) – all seats reserved.
Steve Miller said of his only ‘Classic Rock Meets Classic Country’ tour stop in the Bay Area with Marty Stuart, “I know it is going to be one of the best musical pairings we’ve ever done and an amazing evening of great American music. Marty is one of the finest musicians in the world…it’s an honor to have him join us this summer for an unbelievable evening of original American music.”
