Beau Fleurs Napa Valley Flowers has just celebrated its 25th anniversary of offering unique, premium floral designs to the Napa Valley. The family- owned and operated business opened in 1993, shortly after proprietors and husband and wife team, John and Kellie Prittie made Napa their home. The family-operated shop located at 1508 Silverado Trail is known for creating beautiful, upscale arrangements of California-grown and imported cut flowers. Their fresh, natural ‘fresh from the garden’ style and attention to detail are what sets them apart from the traditional florist. John Prittie says, “We make a gorgeous traditional dozen roses, but we tend to focus on fun, premium flowers such as hydrangeas and lilacs and seasonal specialties like peonies and tulips.” One of their most popular items is their ‘Best and Freshest of the Season’ arrangement. John says, “My aesthetic is to create a more elegant yet natural display. I like to stay away from the standards or anything dyed or artificial. It also allows our talented designers to create something using the freshest seasonal flowers just arriving from the market.”
Kellie plays a vital role in selecting interesting and quality flowers from the Flower Market. He says, “Kellie knows just what to look for. She’s worked hard to build strong relationships and friendships with many growers and vendors, which has resulted in us receiving the very best product.”
While the Pritties are committed to offering quality products, they believe the longevity of their success is their dedication to delivering white-glove, customer-oriented service to individuals, businesses, and events. John says, “We want our customers to be thrilled with our flowers, but also with our service. Beau Fleurs will happily go the extra mile to ‘make it right’ beyond the customer’s expectations.” His ultimate goal is to make sure his customers are delighted with not only the flowers they receive but with the service that accompanies them.
The Pritties believe customer service also applies to their relationships with their employees. Philip Greeson, one of the team members, said Beau Fleurs is a “family-oriented and positive” place to work. “I started with Beau Fleurs nine years ago as a driver. After a couple of years, I was asked to join the design team. I enjoy using materials that give the arrangements a wow factor.” Greeson said he is proud to be part of a team that always stands by its quality and service. Sarah Prittie, John and Kellie’s oldest daughter, grew up in the business. She says, “The entire team shares the family’s passion for making customers happy. That’s what makes Beau Fleurs stand apart.”
Prittie says one of his favorite things about the business is interacting with customers. “Our slogan is ‘Napa’s Premiere Hometown Florist,’ so many of our clients are local individuals or families, and many are repeat customers. I greatly appreciate all their loyalty and support. The flower business is hard work, but our customers make it worth it.”
