Join Author Steve Snyder as he discusses his book, Shot Down” that tells the story of the author’s father whose B-17 was knocked out of the sky over Belgium by German Fighters on
February 8, 1944
Snyder reviewed personal letters, oral and written accounts, military records and conducted interviews with those who took part in a drama of important historical significance. Enhancing the story are more than 200 photographs from the period. He gives the reader an insider’s seat to observe a remarkable group of young airmen and the courageous Belgian people who risked their lives to help them.
